When I began on Facebook more than 3 years ago… the custom was to connect yourself with as many people as possible… and whether you have 5000 friends or just the average 130… the new “subscribe” button allows us to stay connected via our personal profiles!
“Subscribe” allows anyone on Facebook to sign up to receive your public posts in their News Feed and for once… it works to our benefit that Facebook has this feature automatically enabled between our existing friends!.
Here is everything you need to know… in a few simple points!
- Click on the subscribers link on your profile page and then click on edit settings. Make sure that your settings read on… everyone… everyone… and leave the last one unflagged. By turning on the subscribe feature you are lifting the 5000 limit you have as a friend/page like allotment. EVERYONE will be able to connect with you and see your posts!
- People do business with people that they know like and trust… and subscribers will be able to retrieve your message! This is an amazing option to offer… from a Relationship Marketing standpoint.
- Make sure that your posts are going out to everyone by looking at your post and mousing over the icon at the right to ensure it says public! If it doesn’t, then adjust using the down arrow.
- NOW… when subscribers interact with your posts… their comments will appear on all of their friends News feeds and tickers along with YOUR ORIGINAL POST! Make sure to comment on comments!
- Start subscribing to other people… do this without guilt!!! It doesn’t cost 1 of the friendship/fan page points!
